CELESTIAL YOGA
The total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 will be visible from a narrow path of totality that runs through Mexico, the US and Canada. The path of totality will pass through 15 states in the United States, including Missouri! The moon will appear relatively large and will cover 100% of the sun’s disk. A partial eclipse will be visible across nearly all of North America and a sliver of western Europe. A total solar eclipse is truly spectacular! You will have the unique opportunity to stand in the shadow of the moon and witness the sun’s exquisite corona. Solar eclipses are alignments of the Sun, the Moon, and You.
We were fortunate to have the most recent total solar eclipse path of totality in southern MO in August, 2017. The next total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States won’t take place until August 23, 2044.
April 8 is a Monday and the eclipse will peak in the southern MO sky at 1:53 pm CDT with the final exit of the Moon’s shadow from the state at 2:02 pm CDT.
