Debby’s Self Discovery
Debby discovered yoga in her forties and has been a devout student of the healing art since. This therapeutic practice has helped her navigate many transitions, including a career shift into the humbling role of yoga teacher. Debby creatively guides yoga students with her earthy mix of attentive alignment, fluid movement and breath awareness. She encourages curiosity about the practice and often uses props to further enhance the asana experience. Debby’s fresh ideas engage people’s imaginations as students are whisked away from routine and carried along on magical yoga journeys with inspiration woven into every class, workshop, and event she leads. With no shortage of causes she champions, Debby lives her mantra “I possess infinite potential” every day.

I will be guiding daily yoga practices focusing on the chakras, and offering photo shoots at this Breathe & Bend Hot Yoga retreat in Amorgos Island, Greece July 6-13, 2024. 4:30 pm: ROOT HATHA – 
ROOT Hatha Fundamentals is a signature yoga class of LifePower Yoga at Life Time Frontenac. The intention for ROOT is to provide a welcoming entry point to Life Time Yoga. It is designed for students new to yoga, students dealing with physical limitations or injuries, and experienced students who are looking to slow their practice down. This class has a therapeutic quality to it by allowing students to feel more, look inward and heal deeply. This is held in the large studio at Life Time and has become a family of students who are committed to rewarding their physical, mental and emotional beings with 60 minutes dedicated on each Saturday to their whole being. If you are new or not, this class has something for you. I guide it with loving care and intend for each student to find moments of deep connection to themselves and to discover new curiosity and wonder every week. We have props available again and use them regularly. Your sacred space awaits. Come settle your mind and center you.

6:30 pm: Sunset SUP Yoga – 
Invite that courageous soul to experience Mother Nature and dive deep into your strengths of balance and centered attention. We float in an outdoor classroom, anchored in a setting on the lake in front of the Boathouse at Forest Park. These classes are provided free of charge by Big Muddy Adventures during the summer months 2024. Class begins at 6:30 and ends at 7:30pm. Big Muddy at the Boathouse closes at 8pm. |

11:45 am: ARORA Gentle Yoga – 
ARORA is a community within Life Time that features a collection of physical, social, and educational activities for adults who want to stay healthy, active, and fit. (You can learn more here: “Discover ARORA.”) ARORA yoga classes are specifically designed for people 55 and older. The ARORA Gentle Yoga format focuses on improving four foundational elements: physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. The class will feature no-to-low impact moves that help improve muscular strength, mobility, cardiovascular endurance, balance, flexibility, and more. Length: 45 minutes This fully guided class features a basic sequence of yoga moves focusing on stretching, simple movement patterns, and joint range of motion throughout the body, including fingers, toes, and ankles. As you move through the class, you’ll be challenged to memorize these movement patterns which helps stimulate and foster cognitive function.
