Build physical and mental strength as you flow through a dance-like series of yoga poses, drawing on the breath as your inner source of power in this energizing class. What to ExpectSet to heart-pumping music in a heated studio, this athletic class will shine a light on the reactivity of your mind. My sequencing builds throughout the 60 minutes to prepare your body for flowing in the finale flow. After a spinal warmup with an intentional Sun A and hip warmup with a Sun B designed to target the body parts we'll activate and lengthen in our Sun C, you will feel prepared for the series of flowing yoga sequenced specifically for you to explore poses on your own, moving at your personal pace. Your breath will guide you to a state of mental calm in the midst of this powerfully energetic experience. The ARORA Gentle Yoga format focuses on improving four foundational elements: physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. The class will feature no-to-low impact moves that help improve muscular strength, mobility, cardiovascular endurance, balance, flexibility, and more. Once connecting to this centering, stress-relieving ingredient, we begin moving energy though our bodies with a vinyasa flow, core work and stretching exercises, that will build strength and agility. Regardless if you climb or not, you'll recharge your body and mind with strength-building stretches, mobility work for shoulders, hips, and wrists, and grounding breath techniques to release tension from the day. This class is held at Climb So iLL downtown at their Power Plant location on Mondays 12n-1p and in St. Charles at their Steel Shop location on Thursdays 12n-1p. 6:30 pm: HOT STONE SAVASANA –
Find time for you, refill your cup. With HOT STONE SAVASANA yoga you will explore the potential of a deep restful state in your body and mind. We will begin our session with a gentle seated intentional breathwork; then we’ll place our bodies in shapes braced by many soft supports. (Bolsters, blankets, blocks) In each of the restorative shapes (often just 3 in the 90 min), we will layer in heated stones for extra relaxation. The heat of the basalt stones offer a much deeper, more relaxing state, while also soothing the nervous system to combat muscle soreness and pain. The increased blood flow allows for more oxygen and nutrients to enter the muscle tissues so more waste products can be emptied. Hot Stone Therapy has been around for thousands of years. It is also referred to as, "Geothermal Therapy." We will garnish our shapes with these warmed stones to gift us more grounded rest. |

6:30 pm: Sacred Sound Restorative Yoga –
Soften and surrender into sacred rest and the healing vibration of sound in this 90 minute restorative yoga and sound bath experience. Allow your self to be held in care and community while you settle your weight and your being into the support of props. This experience is truly transcendant. Danielle Tridenti will be guiding. I will be playing the crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and flute. 72 hour cancellation policy observed. |
