03/29/2021(1 event) 11:00 am: DEEP STRETCH / RESTORE – Deep Stretch / Restore is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. Living in a forward facing, seated world, these areas tend to be tight for everyone. Tight muscles can cause imbalance and pull the body out of alignment. This class begins with warm-up movements to build heat and prepare the muscles for stretching. MANY poses are done on the floor and held for 1-2 minutes. Holding poses for longer periods of time and focusing on breath gives the body time to fully relax and open. Deep Stretch / Restore is an accessible class that everyone needs – athletes, advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, first time yoga students and everyone in between. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body. Students who take this class regularly report fewer injuries and improved sleep. Restore is a great class for first time yoga students. Neither experience nor flexibility are required, just an open mind and a willingness to have fun while trying something new. We are once again using props and I invite students to take 2 blocks, a strap and at least one bolster each class. We use all props for supporting the intention of the class - to leave feeling restored. Find your way to this class for restoring your body and mind with soothing shapes and gentle movements intended for recovery and rest.

03/30/2021(1 event) 6:30 pm: YOGA FOR ATHLETES – Athletes recognize how paramount fluid breathwork is to supporting a relaxed body and mind when performing at a physical limit. Climbers specifically. So, we begin each class focusing on our breath and slowing it into deep diaphragmatic breathing. Once connecting to this centering, stress-relieving ingredient, we begin moving energy though our bodies with a vinyasa flow, core work and stretching exercises, that will build strength for the cruxes of our chosen sport. Complementing your athletic endeavors with a regular yoga practice, you can benefit from improved stamina, flexibility, agility and centering. In addition, yoga enhances proprioception, a vital ingredient in all sports. This class will be tailored to athletes and specifically climbers, so we can all stay in tip top mental and physical shape through this "re-entry" timeframe.

04/03/2021(2 events) 10:45 am: SURRENDER YIN – Learn to Let GoThis slow, meditative yin-yoga practice is designed to mindfully stress your body’s connective tissues as you breathe into the ever-changing sensations that arise in long-held poses. What to ExpectYou’ll be guided through a series of passive postures, mostly done on the floor. Poses are held for up to several minutes, allowing fascia and joints to gradually compress or release. This class is suitable for all experience levels; you’ll learn to utilize your breath and observe your natural tendencies when faced with discomfort. Why it WorksPhysically, long-held yoga poses mobilize and lubricate the joints and can help make these tissues more flexible. Mentally, these poses challenge you to meet arising resistance with mindfulness and self-compassion, teaching you to find the middle ground between craving and aversion. 12:15 pm: ROOT - Fundamentals – ROOT Hatha Fundamentals is a signature yoga class of LifePower Yoga at Life Time Frontenac. The intention for ROOT is to provide a welcoming entry point to Life Time Yoga. It is designed for students new to yoga, students dealing with physical limitations or injuries, and experienced students who are looking to slow their practice down. This class has a therapeutic quality to it by allowing students to feel more, look inward and heal deeply. This is held in the large studio at Life Time and has become a family of students who are committed to rewarding their physical, mental and emotional beings with 60 minutes dedicated on each Saturday to their whole being. If you are new or not, this class has something for you. I guide it with loving care and intend for each student to find moments of deep connection to themselves and to discover new curiosity and wonder every week. We have props available again and use them regularly. Your sacred space awaits. Come settle your mind and center you.

Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. My style is to take you through a variation of Sun A & Sun B to warm up the spine and then the hips. Then we learn a flow in chunks and put it all together for that dance with breath. We then move into core work and cool down, finally landing in that magical end pose - savasana. You are encouraged to share any specific body part you might need to address in your practice in that moment. I do my best to honor requests and tailor portions of class for you. 12360 Manchester Rd #206 St. Louis, MO 63131 United States 314-821-1878 11:00 am: DEEP STRETCH / RESTORE – Deep Stretch / Restore is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. With a slower pace than Power Yoga or Vinyasa, there’s time to explore both alignment and sensation within individual postures during each full-body experience. Debby thrives teaching this mixed level yoga class available to all humans. Her Slow Flow is a therapeutic dance of moving meditation. After pranayama (breathwork), pratapana (warming up the spine) and Sun Salutations, we will move through a sequence of postures slow enough to refine and strengthen each pose, without feeling rushed into the next move, next breath, or next pose. Slow Flow allows a person to become familiar with his or her body, create a reflective pause, and create the time to go inward. Covid-19 Updates:Let's move & breathe together safely in this post quarantine time. YogaSix Des Peres is enacting all the protocols suggested by St. Louis County. Class sizes will be extremely limited and mat markers used to indicate a space for you to maintain a six foot distance in class. The room is cleaned thoroughly between classes. Masks are not mandatory, but if you wish to practice in a mask feel free to do so. You must provide your own mat and any props you wish to use. No blocks, straps or bolsters will be made available until further notice. And hands-on assists will not be offered during this time as well. 12360 Manchester Rd #206 St. Louis, MO 63131 United States 314-821-1878 |

12360 Manchester Rd #206 St. Louis, MO 63131 United States 314-821-1878 6:00 pm: SUNSET SUP YOGA WED – In this floating yoga class we incorporate elements of yoga and breathing to help you find more balance both on and off of a paddleboard. Expect to have fun while challenging your individual edges of flexibility, focus, strength and balance. Beginners welcome as no yoga nor paddlebaording experience is necessary. The available time is 90 minutes, with 45 minutes dedicated to yoga, 15 minutes of free paddling & photo opportunities, and 30 to get setup and return to the dock. You will rent or bring your own SUP board and tether it to one of three moor lines in the water using the carabiner supplied. The moor line allows for floating 6+ feet apart, and you'll be breathing in the air of the great outdoors, so no worries about recirculated air. The $13 ticket gets you the yoga class. You must either bring your own SUP board or rent one of the 16 available at Creve Coeur Lake Rentals. You may only rent the board after 6pm. Please allow time to park, sign their waiver and pay them the $12 to rent the board. Class begins at 6:30. This class start & end time are related to sunset, so it changes throughout the summer. There are no refunds for Sunset SUP Yoga. In the event of weather causing a cancellation of class, you may reschedule yours to a future date. TICKETSSUP YOGA Q&AWhat should I wear and bring? You can wear usual yoga clothing or shorts that you don't mind getting wet. You may choose to wear a swimsuit. It's your choice. If it's a sunny day, don't forget sunblock and a cheap pair of sunglasses (in case you lose them). Also, a towel might be nice for your ride home after. Please leave any valuables in your locked car and arrive with enough time to find parking and get initiated to paddleboarding. What if I fall in the water? The paddleboards we use are all Glide stand-up paddleboards. They're large, sturdy and the waters are generally calm unless it's a super windy day. We are each clipped onto a moor line that will assure your board stays in the class and all facing the same direction. The lake is about 15 feet deep where we float our class. As long as you know how to swim and are comfortable around water, you will be fine. The idea of falling keeps you focused in class for sure, but those who do fall in, end up bravely attempting even bolder moves. I've seen it often. If you fall, you just get right back on the board. Is yoga harder on water? Being on a board offers you the opportunity to fine tune your attention to this exact moment. It may be said it's more "difficult" in the sense that you need to pay attention to alignment, foot placement, and smooth fluidity of movement in order to maintain balance and stability on the board. It's harder to simply mimic postures you know and "cheat" through muscle memory. You will learn more about how you center and trust in your stabilizer muscles intensely. Many students sign up again and again, for the fun and challenge offered in this class. You will receive much guidance about how to maintain balance on this floating mat. And no one will be doing their shopping list while moving through poses in this class! Where do I rent the Glide SUP Yoga board? Creve Coeur Lake Rentals is noted on the map below. Be sure to arrive with enough time to find a parking spot and bring your driver's license to rent the board. This year board rental is $12 for our 90 minutes.

04/27/2021(1 event) 6:30 pm: YOGA FOR ATHLETES – Athletes recognize how paramount fluid breathwork is to supporting a relaxed body and mind when performing at a physical limit.

05/01/2021(2 events) 10:45 am: SURRENDER YIN – Learn to Let GoThis slow, meditative yin-yoga practice is designed to mindfully stress your body’s connective tissues as you breathe into the ever-changing sensations that arise in long-held poses.
