Debby’s Self Discovery

Forever a student of this mighty practice, it was in her forties that Debby discovered yoga and the healing it grants the body and mind. It has helped her navigate many of life’s transitions since, including a career shift into the humbling role of yoga teacher. Debby creatively guides yoga students with her earthy mix of attentive alignment, fluid movement and breath awareness. She encourages curiosity about the practice and often uses props to further enhance the asana experience. Debby’s fresh ideas engage people’s imaginations as students are whisked away from routine and carried along on magical yoga journeys with inspiration woven into every class, workshop, and event she leads. With no shortage of causes she champions, Debby lives her mantra “I possess infinite potential” every day.

    Whether you’re looking to get out of that dinner & movie date night rut and in need of a fun and fresh alternative for sparking your love connection or you’re interested in deepening your understanding of yoga massage with a friend, you will find a comfortable space to explore the power of partner yoga, stretches, massage and mindfulness. Let’s celebrate intimacy of all kinds. We have mats and all the props in the prop closet and will be certain to offer many cozy, happy, bonding moments in our playful time together.

    This workshop is open to members and non-members at Life Time Frontenac on February 13, 2-3:45pm.

    This workshop will focus on exploring the edges of poses. Have you wondered how to expand a pose to another variation with good alignment and safe movement? We will spend time discussing the anatomy, and necessary openness and strengths to create expansive new expressions with our bodies and minds.
    Some shapes we'll examine:
    Wild Thing (or Flip Dog), Bound Extended Side Angle, Bird of Paradise, any suggestions (give them to Amber).
    $40 investment, includes a free additional class at Y6 Des Peres to be used within a month (add'l $25 value).
